Eyes 4: Cleaning Up Eye Whites (Sclera) with Shape, Mask and Gradient
1 min read
In our series on retouching and eyes, this video shows a way to address issues such as red veins, discolouration and physical damage within the eye.
In particular we use a shape here that both gives an overlay colour and retains a non-destructive form of a gradient to enable a true 3D shading effect across the eye. The shape is constrained to the sclera (whites of the eye) by a mask, which is constructed using a novel, easy and very effective reverse painting method.
