Improving a Refined Selection with an Overlay Brush in Affinity Photo

After a selection and refinement, you can still be left with areas partially selected that may interfere with your edits. You can clean these up with a paintbrush set to ‘Overlay’ blend, for which you need a bit of a trick to get to be able to do this. Here’s how.
